YMA Winning Project 2015: COTO
The YMA is a scholarship program run through the FSF (Fashion Scholarship Fund) foundation, awarding aspiring fashion designers $5,000 upon being selected from a panel of judges with an array of expertise throughout the fashion industry. This season we were prompted to innovate a new brand/line of clothing to be sold brick and mortar style for the Etsy and Macy's collaboration. The nucleus of the concept for my project involved attracting the environmentally conscious millennial who seeks unique identity in the conformist fast fashion society that the market drowns in today. Playing to my strengths in the art of hand illustration paired with photoshop alterations, I developed and birthed my vision of the collaboration in a way that stayed true to the philosophy and morality of the concept.
